What is Mixed Billing?
Mixed billing applies at Hale Road Medical. Individual Billing by General Practitioners means you may be Bulk billed or a Private fee applies with a Medicare rebate.
Bulk billing is carried out at the discretion of the health service provider.
Is Hale Road Medical Centre a Bulk Billing Clinic?
Hale Road Medical continues to Bulk bill ALL patients with current Pension Cards, Health Care Cards, DVA cards & ALL children 15 years and under with a current Medicare card.
If you DO NOT have a Medicare card a Private fee applies.
Private billing consults can be claimed back from Medicare or a Private Health Care fund.
All payments are to be paid on the day and we can process the Medicare claim for you on the spot.
All payments for Private Health funds need to be paid on the day and claimed back by the patient from their individual Health fund.
Your GP or Doctor’s Appointment may include referrals to medical specialists. X-Rays , Ultrasounds and other scans. Pathology tests, blood tests & Eye tests. These appointments may incur fees.
You may also be able to claim bulk billing if you have a Concession card or Health Care card. If in doubt, please make sure to ask before the services are provided.
Hale Road Medical is a Mixed billing medical centre and most of our services are able to be bulk billed, or attract a small gap payment, but please be sure to confirm the billing amount for the services you are requiring at time of booking your appointment.
